The June 21st launch dedication will be held to honor Sharon and Wally Stealey who made a substantial financial contribution that made the development of the Hudson Ranch Site possible. The contribution was given in the name of their departed children Michelle and Pat Stealey. We will also be honoring Helen and John Hudson who made the initial donation of the property to the Farmers Union and The 4-H for youth activities. Certificates of appreciation will be presented to Marvin Hamann, DVM and the Farmers Union for making the Hudson property available to SCORE for development, to Jay Youngren, Boyd Rider, and Kevin Fern for their exceptional contributions of time, labor, and materials in getting all the work done.
The dedication will be highlighted by spectacular launches of High Power rockets using Skidmark engines (between 10:00 and 10:30 AM). Additionally, there will be some 30 Children of Hospice launching messages to their departed loved ones. The kits were donated by SCORE and assembled by students atRoncalli Middle School in Pueblo. Throughout the day, there will be various High Power flights and flights by many other children who have become rocketry enthusiasts.
