Come join us for our 3nd annual BIG TWO DAY event!

Our wide open flying site is located at the Hudson Ranch LLC 4H Activity Center located 9.5 miles South West of Pueblo Colorado on Colorado 78.

There is a requested launch window from 8 AM to 5 PM both days for a max altitude of 12,000 feet AGL. Night launch is scheduled from 8 PM to 10 AM on 20 August to a max altitude of 12,000 feet (FAA approval pending). All rockets must have lights attached to them.

Registration fee is $35 for the weekend for non SCORE members, $25 for SCORE members. Memberships in SCORE are available on the flying field. There is no charge for onsite camping. Please be advised that open fires may not be allowed due to weather conditions at the time of the event.

Vendors are welcome to participate. There will be no charge for vendors.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The launch site is located near the city of Pueblo Colorado. Hotels, motels, and camp sites such as KOA and Lake Pueblo State Park are conveniently located near the launch site. Museums such as the Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum, Sangre De Cristo Arts Center, Buell Children's Museum are attractions in the area. The Colorado State Fair is also going on that weekend. All in all there are many activities to enjoy in the area for you the rocket flyer and your family.

Chili Blaster 3 Fun Contest Events

Spot Landing

Fly an land any size rocket closes to a predetermined spot on the ground.

Two age groups. Twelve and under & Thirteen and over.

Precision Time

A time will be announced before the contest begins. It will be under one minute. All you have to do is fly ANY type of model and have it land closes to this time. Radio controlled models are not allowed in this event.

If the model separates into multiple pieces, please let the judges know which part to time before the launch. If the recovery system separates from the model the chute or streamer will be timed, not the part falling to the ground.

Animal Parachute Duration- We supply this item

Install a animal parachute into your model, BT-60 or larger tube needed and the animal parachutist is timed until it lands or flies out of site. Longest time wins. Please NO motors larger then a G will be allowed in this event. If the chute can't be seen it won't be timed so this isn't an altitude event.
